Yes/Noh Players present Ireland Singing, directed by Frances Benn Hall, at B.C.C. April 15

The Yes/Noh Players will present Ireland Singing, a tribute to the four Irish winners of the Nobel Prize for Literature, at Berkshire Community College on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 12:15 pm.

Conceived and directed by Frances Benn Hall of Lenox, MA, Ireland Singing will include the poetry of William Butler Yeats and Seamus Heaney, plus staged scenes from George Bernard Shaw’s John Bull’s Other Ireland and from Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot. It will conclude with a scene from Yeats’ final play, The Death of Cuchulain, which was written a few months before Yeats died.

Veteran Yeats/Noh actors Arthur Collins and Kathy Jo Grover lead a cast that includes Hugh and Nancy Cowhig, Iris Bass, Paul Glavin, and Margaret Whitfield.
