Sol LeWitt: A Wall Drawing Retrospective is an exhibition of 105 wall drawings, spanning the artist’s career from 1969 until his death in 2007. It was installed at MASS MoCA over the course of six months by a team 65 artists and students on an acres-worth of walls built for the exhibition in a network of rooms connected by halls and covered walkways and metal staircases. Opened in November 2008 and on display until 2033, there is no reason whatsoever to rush through it, but we happened to arrive around 4:40 on Saturday afternoon, so we had to wolf down big bites before the galleries closed at 5. Next time we do the northern Berkshires art thing, we’ll start in North Adams and end at The Clark in Williamstown, instead of vice versa.
