Shakespeare & Company 2012 summer schedule

Shakespeare and Company celebrates it’s 35th season of theatre in the Berkshires with hundreds of performances throughout the sprawling campus in Lenox. First on the boards in the Founders’ Theatre is King Lear by William Shakespeare; Cassandra Speaks is the first play this season in the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre.

Berkshire Theatre Festival summer 2012 schedule

The 2012 summer schedule of the Berkshire Theatre Festival begins with a production of the long-time audience favorite A Chorus Line, which runs at The Colonial Theatre, Pittsfield and includes two world premieres. THe BTF’s main building in Stockbridge, called the Fitzpatrick Main Stage, was originally known as the Stockbridge Casino; it was built in 1887 in the middle of town on Main St. and designed by Stanford White.

Clark Art Institute’s 2012 events and performance schedule features Clark Remix, a gallery filled with more than 80 paintings, nearly 20 sculptures, and more than 300 decorative arts objects from the Clark’s permanent collection. The exhibition is both a physical reality and a virtual space, featuring a dynamic salon-style installation and two new digital applications that offer exciting ways to engage with the collection. The May 2012 schedule for The Colonial Theatre in downtown Pittsfield includes their usual eclectic programming mix of seasoned niche-fanbase musical acts and local attractions, such as MCLA’s Studio One Dancers Concert 2012, and Guitar Jam IV; the great Bettye LeVette is scheduled for the Sat. before Memorial Day, MAy 26.
