Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center 2016 schedule includes a broad array of entertainment including concerts with John Hiatt, Joshua Redman, Buckwheat Zydeco, the fab Faux, and Arlo Guthrie, in addition to “Live in HD” events presented by Met Opera and the London National Theatre. The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center is the primary cultural venue in the Berkshires’ south county region. Located on Castle St. in downtown Great Barrington, MA, the 681 theatre opened in 1905 and restored in 2005. Besides the events listed below, the Mahaiwe also hosts a variety of community events and screens popular old movies, featuring favorites including The Graduate, the Big sleep, The Third Man, and Chinatown during 2016.
