The Chesterwood Antique & Classic Automobile Show is scheduled for Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Chesterwood, the studio museum of sculptor Daniel Chester French, creator of Abraham Lincoln for the Lincoln Memorial. The show runs from 10 AM until 5 PM (rain or shine).
This is a juried show of antique, vintage, and foreign and domestic vehicles. This year includes the addition of three new categories: Fire Engines, Preservation Class (unrestored), and Modified Cars.
Judging will occur between 11:30am and 1:30pm and the presentation of awards will begin at 2:30pm. Vehicle registration will occur between 8am and 11am. Pre-registration fee is $15 for entries submitted prior to close-of-business, May 21, 2011. Registration fee after May 21, 2011, and day-of event is $20. All proceeds go to support Chesterwood, a National Trust Historic Site. Admission: $15 ($10 Friends of Chesterwood), free to children under 18 years of age. Memberships are available at the gate. In addition to the car show, visitors will be invited to tour French’s studio and residence and explore the gardens and woodland walks. Guided and self-guided tours are available.
