Berkshires schedules for May 2011 show a great variety of events at arts and cultural venues throughout Berkshire county. There is live theatre and two simulcasts at Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield; Gala benefits and an eclectic mix of musical genres in concerts at both the Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield and Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Gt. Barrington; student and professional acting at Shakespeare and Co. in Lenox, and plenty more. The most unique benefit is the one sponsored by the Guthrie Center, Arlo Guthrie’s Historic Garbage Trail, because everybody benefits by walking from Stockbridge to Housatonic!
