NewBerkshire.com was our original domain name, registered in 1997, when it became the 34,000th (+/-) domain name to be registered, leading us to fear that we had missed the boat! By July 2016, there were 334.6 million domain name registrations, according to Verisign.!
We moved over to BerkshireLinks.com in 2000, because the new domain name was likely to be easier to remember than the original one, and because we had expanded the scope of our online magazine way beyond almanac-quality articles and arts reviews to publishing comprehensive arts and entertainmet schedules and a broad array of articles, resources, and information that may be of particular interest to anyone planning a visit to the Berkshires.
