Berkshire Museum schedules the annual Festival of Trees to open on Nov. 13, 2010 on South St., downtown Pittsfield, Mass. The theme for this year’s Festival of Trees, the 26th annual, is “Storybook Forest,” with participants being invited to decorate a tree based on a favorite book. Proceeds from the Festival of Trees, which runs through Jan. 2, 2011, benefit the Berkshire Museum’s education programs.
Woodland Style at Berkshire Museum
Festival of Trees: Storybook Forest is complemented by Woodland Style, a special exhibition of nature-inspired art, curated by Marlene Marshall based on her recently released book of the same name. Woodland Style has already filled the BerkshireBase display space, plus additional installations in the grand staircase of the Museum, with fun and fascinating art that incorporates the fruits of nature. With the opening of Festival of Trees: Storybook Forest on November 13, it expands to an adjacent gallery.
