The Williamstown Theatre Festival, founded as the Williamstown Summer Theatre in 1955, achieved a high level of success during Nikos Psacharopoulos’ 33 years as artistic director. Situated on the Williams College campus in Williamstown, MA, WTF became known for innovative versions of classics while assembling a cohort of returning actors, including Mildred Dunnock, E.G. Mandy Greenfield named new WTF Artistic Director
Williamstown Theatre Festival has named Mandy Greenfield to become its new Artistic Director in September 2014, succeeding Jenny Gersten, who will program the 2014 season, which Stephen Kaus will oversee. Ms. Greenfield is currently the artistic producer of Manhattan Theatre Club where she leads programming for the two Off-Broadway theaters at City Center and collaborates on the programming of MTC’s permanent Broadway home, The Samuel J. Freidman Theater.
