The valley town of Tyringham is a rural, residential community long known for its wealthy and famous summer residents and visitors. President Grover Cleveland fished Hop Brook, reputed to be one of America's finest trout streams, while visiting friends at a summer home in Tyringham; Mark Twain spent time there after the death of his daughter.
