Orleton Farm in Stockbridge, Mass. is home to the Colonial Carriage and Driving Society, which sponsors annual events that could be classified “quintessentially Berkshire” – events that are remnants of the Gilded Age, when parts of the Berkshires looked to be extensions of European aristocrary. In winter there is the Classic Sleigh Rally, held Jan. 16, 2011; in autumn, there is the Lenox Tub Parade.
