Tanglewood Jazz Festival 2008 schedule and ticket information
The 2008 Tanglewood Jazz Festival will include an exclusive performance of Terrence Blanchard's Grammy award winning "A Tale of God's Will (A Requiem for Katrina)" with a 30 piece orchestra, NPR Jazz diva Marian McPartland's 90th Birthday celebration, and return visits by pianist Eliane Elias performing selections from "Something For You" A Tribute to Bill Evans, and Donal Fox performing Scarlatti Jazz Suite Project featuring Christian Scott.
Also performing at the Tanglewood Jazz Festival are The Edmar Castaneda Trio with Special Guest, Joe Locke, Dianne Reeves, The Eddie Daniels Quartet , and Mark O'Connor's "Hot Swing" with special guest Jane Monheit.

Berkshire Theatre Festival 2008 season schedule
The 2008 season at the Berkshire Theatre Festival, the 80th for the oldest cutural institution in the Berkshires, will feature plays by several of the greatest playwrights, including George Bernard Shaw, Sameul Beckett, Harold Pinter, and Edward Albee.
BTF's 2008 season will open with the same play that it opened with 80 years ago, Shaw's Candida, which will be directed by Anders Cato. One of the season's many highlights will be the performances of Richard Chamberlain and Jan Maxwell as George and Martha in Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Barrington Stage opens 2008 season with "Trumbo"
The 2008 theatre season in the Berkshires gets underway with Barrington Stage Co.'s production of "Trumbo," the Off-Broadway hit written by Christopher Trumbo about his father Dalton Trumbo, the Academy Award-winning screenwriter who was a member of the Hollywood Ten, sentenced to prison and blacklisted in 1947 for refusing to cooperate with Congress in it's investigation of Communism in the film indistry.

2008 Tanglewood season schedule
The 2008 Tanglewood schedule has been announced by the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The 2008 season, Maestro James Levine's fourth as Music director, features Berlioz' opera Les Troyens performed in two parts July 5 and 6, all-Mozart and all-Beethoven weekends, eight of the world's favorite violinists, plus the returns of popular programs with the Mark Morris Dance Group, A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor, and two James Taylor concerts.
