The Berkshire Opera Company just completed their 27^th season in the Berkshires with performances at the Colonial Theater in Pittsfield, Mass. and the Mahaiwe Theater in Gt. Barrington, Mass.

The Berkshire Opera Company strives to educate both their performers and their audience by producing both standard and new repertoire. A pre-performance lecture highlighting what to watch and listen for was offered this year an hour before each performance.

This past August children were offered the opportunity to see what happens behind the curtain and meet members of the cast, orchestra and the conductor through two programs, Family Day at the Opera and a workshop entitled Behind the Velvet Curtain.
