Berkshires fall foliage train

Fall in the Berkshires is celebrated in many ways, and has been since the the 19th century when America’s wealthiest first made Berkshire county an autumn vacation destination. The venerable Berkshire Theatre Festival is appealing the appetite for opulence with its upcoming fund-raising event.

Berkshire Theatre Festival’s Fall Foliage celebration starts with a cocktail party on a train that will depart Stockbridge at 5pm Sunday October 12. Honorary Event Chairs Karen Allen ( Raiders of the Lost Ark), Jayne Atkinson (this season’s Candida, TV’s 24), Michel Gill (Candida), and Chris Noth (Law and Order & Sex and the City), are hosts of the fall events that continue with a concert at BTF’s Unicorn Theatre by Tony Award Winner Judy Kaye (Phantom of the Opera, BTF’s Souvenir, pictured at left) and David Green (last season’s Morning’s At Seven).

Tickets for this event are $500, which includes a $425 tax-deductible donation to BTF. For more information or for tickets, please contact us at 413-298-5536 extension 21 or go online to berkshiretheatre.org.
