Featured artistsinclude trumpet extraordinaire Doc Severinsen, pianist Michael Chertock, and Tony Award winner Idina Menzel, star of the original Broadway casts of Wicked and Rent. Program includes Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue,” the film music of John Williams, and much more. Lawn tickets $21 – Shed tickets $42 to $115.

Carole King & James Taylor – July 3, 4, & 5

Berkshire county resident James Taylor returns for three concerts with Carole King, July 3, 4, & 5, in the midst of the Carole King & James Taylor ‘Troubador Reunion’ 2010 World Tour. Taylor’s unprecedented 5-day series of concerts and events at Tanglewood last summer accounted for nearly 20 percent of the BSO’s receipts for the entire 2009 Tanglewood season. Fireworks to follow the July 4 concert. Proceeds from the July 4 concert to benefit Tanglewood.

TMC: Chamber Music Concert

Full-length chamber music concerts of both standard repertoire and contemporary works performed by TMC Fellows. Music for brass and percussion, including works by GABRIELI, MESSIAEN, PINTO-CORREIA (world premiere), and STRAUSS. Tickets are $11 payable by cash/check only, and are available one hour prior to concert start time at the Ozawa Hall box office only.
On July 5, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos and TMC Conducting Fellows lead the TMC Orchestra in a program of Falla, Albéniz, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Debussy.
