Juno movie soundtrack

The Juno Movie Soundtrack is bound to take on a life of its own, independent of the award-winning movie it comes from.

There is plenty of precedent for the soundtrack from a movie taking on a life of it’s own and becoming as popular, if not more, than the movie itself. An early example would be American Graffiti, George Lucas’s 1973 coming-of-age movie that includes songs by great artists of the first generation of rock ‘n roll: Bill Haley and the Comets, Buddy Holly, Fats Domino, and Chuck Berry.

Another example would be any of the scores of movies John Williams has written music for, including Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Juno is an Oscar-winning movie released in 2007, directed by Jason Reitman and starring Ellen Page, Michael Cera, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Allsion Janney. It tells the story of sixteen year old Juno MacGuff who has to deal with the situation of an un-wanted pregnancy. Juno is smarter and wittier than the typical high school kid and she decides not to have an abortion, but to find an adoptive couple in the penny saver want ads and go on with her high school life.

The Juno Soundtrack includes some classic songs as well as others written for the movie.

Music From Juno includes songs by the Velvet Underground, The Kinks, and Buddy Holly.
